Day 4 -- Myeongdong and Errands
This morning, I woke up early and unpacked the rest of my things before calling Grandy. It was raining in the morning, so I stayed in my room for a while, but then took the subway to Myeondong once it stopped. I was very happy to see Myeongdong again; I love all of the crowded streets, brightly-lit signs, and beautiful store exteriors. Because of Covid, Myeondong in 2022 wasn't as alive as it had been in 2018, and I was glad to see it back in the busy atmosphere that I remember from six years ago.
My first stop in Myeongdong was Hong Kong Banjeom 0410, my favorite place to get my favorite Korean dish, jjajangmyeon. It was absolutely amazing and I was so happy to be finally having it after two years. Afterwards, I went to Artbox (my favorite store in Korea!) to get some notebooks for class, and some essentials like an umbrella and chopsticks. I finished my trip to Myeongdong at Olive Young, where I got some sheet masks, sunscreen, and shampoo.
I went back to the dorm and unpacked everything I bought before heading out again. I went to the Kyobo Bookstore on Ewha's main strip to get my textbooks for class, and then went to a convenience store to get a few other snacks and supplies for my dorm.
I ate dinner in my dorm next and tried Korean's spiciest instant ramen, Buldak. It is very famous and I thought that even though my spice tolerance isn't the best, because it is such a big phenomenon I had to try it. I only put in half of the hot sauce and it was pretty spicy, but I powered through and ate the whole thing. After eating, I showered and watched TV before going to bed.
