Day 35 -- Ikseondong and Hongdae with Angela
After class, I had a quick lunch at Greek Day before meeting up with Angela in Ikseondong. We went to Cafe Langsom so Angela could try their matcha and strawberry montblanc, and we also got some drinks as we talked. Angela also gave me a birthday gift at the restaurant -- I got a really pretty pair of chopsticks from Japan with my name engraved in English and Japanese!
We walked around Ikseondong for a while and then took the subway to Hongdae. Angela has always wanted to go to one of the few Nike stores that offers Nike By You where you can customize clothing with various prints and patches, and there was one in Hongdae, so we went there. We designed a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt together for Angela and it was a lot of fun to sort through the options, pick color schemes, and figure out where to place the designs on the clothes.
After we finished making the clothes, we walked around Hongdae for a while and stopped at some stores along the way. We had dinner at Tera Gimbap and shared their classic gimbap and stone-cooked bibimbap.
I went back to my dorm afterwards and did some homework before going to bed.
